Jordana haul with swatches

I heard many positive things about Jordana brand so I decided to check out myself how great \or not they are. I visited their web site www.jordanacosmetics.com to place an order. It is more of a “hit or miss” thing with your choice there, though. Because of the way they are displaying colors, it is very difficult to understand what color the lipstick really is – it is like a little stroke of color made by computer rather than photographed, if you know what I mean. The range of colors is overwhelming, so I got a little crazy and bought 10 matte lipsticks, 5 lip liners, 4 lip-glosses and a mascara. Each of the product is $1.49, except for the mascara that retails for $2.99.

Best Lash Extreme Mascara.

It is really great. You just have to make sure you do not put too many coats as it starts to clamp. 1-2 coats gave my lashes reasonable amount of volume and length already. I see myself buying it again.

Lip-liners.

I got 5 1\2” lip liners. This was my “miss” purchase. I got the following shades - Plush red, Cabaret, Burgundy, Natural, Mauve. The first 3 are pretty much identical, I could really get away with just either one of them. Lip liners are not creamy  + they are drying which is always my issue with non-creamy liners, I guess, since I have dry lips.  Not my favorite.

Lip glosses (CG).

Those are yummy! They smell like watermelons or at least some kind of a melon. They are not sticky. And the best part for me– they moisturize your lips. I got mine in the shades Cotton Candy, Sunset Kiss, Sorbet. Cotton candy has itty-bitty silver sparkles, Sunset Kiss – golden, Sorbet is very sheer corally-nude. If you are a lip-gloss junkie, check them out.

Matte lipsticks.

I love matte lipsticks in general. These are definitely matt and long lasting (before your first meal of course). They are a little on the dry side as well, but bearable. They do apply better from the tube rather than with a lip brush – more opaque. I scored 80\20 here on hit and misses with the color. But knowing the price I can’t really complain. And overall I liked the lipstick, I think Jordana did a great job.
I really liked: Classic nude, Natural, Lavender Lady, Fruity punch, Fiery coral, Plum Obsession.

Just ok: Terra Cotta, Baby Doll

Mattes with chunks of glitter (???) and I am not a glitter girl at all: Honey, Rafael.
I exaggerate, of course, they are not big CHUNKS of glitter, they are finely mild pieces, but this is just not my cup of tea. It just feels weird in a matt lipstick. And it seems like they don’t apply to your lips as well as the others because of it.

I have not purchased or tried their regular lipsticks yet, but if you have, please, share your thoughts and impressions in the comments.

PS: I suck at taking pictures of swatches, sorry for that. I will practice more, I promise.
